What is a VCT?
A VCT, or Venture Capital Trust, is an investment scheme designed to help investors back early-stage businesses with high potential in return for tax reliefs and tax-free dividends. The scheme was introduced by the government in the mid 1990s to help stimulate investment into early-stage businesses and founders looking to scale.
Praetura Growth VCT
Praetura Growth VCT can invest up to £5m of equity into businesses. Often co-investing alongside our other funds, our VCT is looking to back ambitious Northern founders looking to scale. Our current portfolio includes Proptech businesses redefining the property transaction landscape for estate agents to a global fintech powerhouse that provides secure payments solutions for international businesses such as Mastercard.
