Watch highlights from PXN’s Glasgow Tech Week founder event

PXN pulled out the stops for this year’s Glasgow Tech Week, teaming up with Barclays to deliver our What VCs Won’t Tell You series.

The event was designed as a series of insider talks for DeepTech founders looking to grow in Scotland.

We dropped the usual advice designed for software start-ups and offered up insights from experts focused on scaling IP-rich spinouts and DeepTech companies in some of Glasgow’s leading sectors.

We heard from Elizabeth Young, Nathalie Cutting, Sam Baumber, Ben Davies, and Florian Kämpgen, CFA with talks on raising investment, opportunities in public markets, founder journeys in advanced materials, commercialisation, and the rise of DeepTech in Scotland.

PXN’s involvement didn’t stop here with Aidan MacMillan and Paul Munn taking part in sessions exploring how businesses can prepare for EIS and SEIS investment, what investors look for, and how the schemes can help founders access the capital they need to grow.

Aidan also sat down with Phlo founder Adam Hunter to discuss the company’s journey from a Glasgow start-up to THE fastest-growing technology business in the North of the UK according to GP Bullhound.

The feedback around Glasgow Tech Week this year has been better than ever. Congratulations to the Glasgow City Innovation District and everyone involved for the years of work’s that gone in to making the festival what it is today.

With so many exciting developments on the go, PXN are proud to be investing in Glasgow. The city continues to position itself as a leader in so many critical technologies, innovating its way through a period of re-industrialisation.
